And that’s exactly what the Shimano engineers did with the groundbreaking Tyrnos Two-Speed range. Always listening to feedback from our anglers, Shimano have now introduced three new models, the 8, 10 and 50LRS which are set to further satisfy those wishing to fish lighter lines classes, or in case of the 50LRS – up the stakes on those bigger game fish.

Casting, Trolling or Live-Baiting?

No problem. Featuring a Lever Drag, push-button two-speed shifting, solid die-cast Aluminium frame and oversized stainless steel gearing - the Tyrnos Two-Speed range is built tough for Aussie game fish and conditions.

Two-speed gear shifting adds another dimension to the already impressive array of features - rapidly clear the trolling pattern during a hook-up or switch to low for incredible amounts of fish-moving torque.

The new 8 and 10 models can hold 155 metres and 210 metres of 9kg nylon monofilament respectively, while the huge spool of the 50LRS can hold 640 metres of 23kg.

The pre-existing 12, 16, 20 and 30 models can have a capacity of 229, 320, 411 and 548 metres of 14kg nylon monofilament respectively.
