Haines Hunter WINS 2007 Boat Manufacturer of the Year and the Business Growth Award.

Another successful year sees Haines Hunter receive recognition for their outstanding efforts in boat manufacturing.

The BIA Breakfast Awards presentation was a great way to start off day two of the 2007 Club Marine Boat Show in Melbourne .

The highlight of the morning was the presentation of the 2007 Victorian Marine Industry Awards with Haines Hunter receiving two out of the eight awards including Boat Manufacturer of the Year and the Business Growth Award.

Boat Manufacturer of the Year recognises Haines Hunter's outstanding achievements specifically in boat manufacturing including boating design, manufacturing standards, use of new techniques and technologies as well as their product range.

While the Business Growth Award focuses on Haines Hunter's excellence in initiatives aimed at strengthening the marine industry in Victoria .

Acknowledgment for this award was based on their research and development, business growth, business practices, training initiatives and how these have assisted in the growth of their business and the industry during the previous twelve months.

This is not the first time Haines Hunter has been in the spotlight receiving recognition as Boat Manufacturer of the year. This is the third year that Haines Hunter have been awarded such an achievement receiving it in 2004, 2005 and again now in 2007.

What does this mean for Haines Hunter and the marine industry in the coming year………..Big Business! This award combination exploits how great a manufacturer they really are and that they are only getting bigger and better, giving their opposition an even bigger benchmark to follow and keep up with.  

The Business Growth Award recognises initiatives in strengthening and growing the marine industry in Victoria, and reflected the company's recent enormous growth, with a new 5,000 square metre factory at Derrimut due to open in September.

Its new premises will allow Haines Hunter to produce more 1,000 boats per year from Melbourne alone – and it has and another 10,000 square metres of land for future growth.

As Boat Manufacturer of the Year, Haines Hunter offers a range of 34 purpose-built boats.

Launched in 1959 and purchased in 2001 by John Haber, Haines Hunter now has its head office in Victoria, along with production, R&D, design, marketing, finance deals and customer service.
