SHIMANO STRADIC 8000FH
With its opal white body and silver spool with gold trim, Shimano’s
new Stradic 8000FH is all class.
With four A-RB bearings and one roller bearing coupled with an
ambidextrous ergonomic power handle, it’s a reel that’s
going to make all the right moves on a range of species from snapper
to hard running pelagics like mackerel and tuna.
Super slow oscillation lays line neatly on the spool, Fluidrive
11 makes winding a breeze, while Dyna-balance removes any rotor
wobble when making use of that 5.7:1 gearing.
Additionally, an oversize bail roller keeps line friction to a
minimum when that big fish lights the after-burners.
Thanks to the growing use of ultra-thin GSP lines, the coffee grinder
size reels of just a couple of years ago are becoming less necessary,
as even smaller reels like the 8000FH have the line capacity, drag
range and gear strength to go with the biggest fish.
The 8000FH holds 325 metres of six kilo nylon line or 250 metres
of eight kilo and comes with a spare aluminium spool — thereby
doubling its versatility.
