Offering aluminium or plate alloy boat fishermen an alternative to transom

It's been a long time coming, but Lowrance Australia now offers an in-hull
stainless 600 / 1 kilowatt transducer that can be used with any Lowrance
sounder (except X-47). From the X-51 through to the top of the range LCX-104C,
this transducer operates exceptionally well in water columns from 25 metres
through to 1000 metres (sounder power permitting).
The SS560 in-hull transducer is a revolutionary product for recreational
fishermen. Initially it was targeted exclusively at serious deep water
game fishermen, offering depth capabilities of up to 1000m. The big surprise
was the amazing difference this transducer made to the overall performance
of all Lowrance X series sounders (excl. X-47) in shallow to medium water
depths from 25m to 250 m.
The reason is simple; the transducer has many more crystals and a larger
surface area. The multi element array system (11 transducer crystals)
can analyse a lot more information being received via the larger transducer
surface area, bringing a higher level of information and information integrity
to the display.
Constructed from Stainless Steel Polyurethane, electrolysis becomes a
thing of the past, and just to make doubly sure, Lowrance supplies the
SS560 with a polyurethane fairing, which also ensures a smooth water flow
over the face of the transducer.
This high powered transducer is a smart investment as it opens the door
for pressed and plate alloy boat fishermen to access performance not previously
thought possible.
While Lowrance offers product over a wide price range, the company still
makes performance priority one no matter what the price.
