I had a great flattie session on a TT Switchblade in the Purple Glimmer pattern on the Hawkesbury a while back, they seemed to jumped on to the thing every cast it was awesome, then I stuffed a cast up and saw it sail off into the deep and to top it off my local store ran out of the same patten so I got a couple of different ones but they haven't had the same result... yet. |

I dont really do much spinning, most my lure use is trolling offshore so I mostly use skirted lures. My favourites would have to be:
-A couple old pakula uzis, one is a lumo express style colour that is about 3cm shorter in the skirt from constantly being smashed. Another was a pink one.
-Zacatack Lumo mini sprockets have also proven very successful on the long rigger. Has caught everything from dollies to a monster 250kg blue marlin for me a few years back. Sure proved tough on 15kg tackle!!
-Top Gun ball bearing nightmares have a really nice action and have taken plenty of bites too.

Mustsay the Lucky Craft Wander is fast becoming one of my favourites, after a week at Groote Is the 95mm Wander was the standout casting lure for just about anything and locally the 60mm Wander is proving dynamite on Tarpon and GT's in the canals |

those megabass lures look awesome... But my favourite is the jointed Jitterbug in black... the noise as it bubbles across the top is hypnotising....
In the salt i used to have a red crawdad that scored a flathead every time i used it... |

Without a lie would be the go to lure for anything and everything trout to mulloway cannot resist them and bream go mad we make some nice lures in Oz but i must say the Japs make a sweet lure with a lot of detail. problem is no one is going to throw a gatta x at a trevally or spanyard too expensive but you look what they are doing over there in Japan everything is eating them.
megabass would be my all time favourite O/S lure without a doubt, they make a lot from wood also hand made by ITO fetching crazy prices but these things are bullet proof pity about the cost. |
