Molonglo River, Lake Burley Griffin, Canberra ACT.
Access: From Monaro Hwy, 24hrs. This is Canberra's only water
skiing area. Only area where petrol powered boats allowed in ACT.
Facilities: Public toilets, 2 lane concrete ramp, picnic
area, tables etc.
Parking: Ample parking 50m walk from ramp.
Fees: None. Permit required from ACT Government to use waterski
area (ph 0409 315 233)

General Description: Ramp allows access to waterski area
(upstream) and to the electric-only areas of the Molonglo River
and to Lake Burley Griffin (downstream). Can be busy with skiers
during summer months. Skiers don't nomally care if you use the ramp
to access the lower river and lake.

"Police Jetty" boat ramp, Lake Ginninderra, Canberra,
ACT
Access: Off Beissel St, near Belconnen Town Centre.
Facilities: Concrete ramp, large jetty, closest toilets at
Belconnen Mall (300m?), Hungry Jacks, Red Rooster close by (!!).
Parking: Limited to maybe 4-5 trailers.
Fees: None.

General description: A good ramp, but water around it fairly
shallow (4-6ft) and very weedy. Best ramp for access to whole lake.
NOTE: Electric-powered boats only. Permit required from
Environment ACT for boats on Lake Ginninderra.

Googong Dam, Cooma Road, 10km from Queanbeyan, NSW-
Access: Access to Googong Foreshores is during opening hours
only (normally 8am-6pm, 8pm during daylight savings). Can be closed
during total fire bans.
Facilities: Public toilets, two small jetties (disabled
access via timber walkway), concrete ramp (4wd only below 75% water
level), walking tracks.
Parking: Ample parking, two separate parking areas (see
photo of one attached), 150m walk from ramp to parking.
Fees: none.

Black Mountain Peninsula, Lake Burley Griffin.-
Access: 24hr access available. Ramp located on John Cardiff
Close, access via Lady Denman Drive then Garry Owen Drive.
Facilities: 2 lane concrete ramp, surrounding water very
shallow, suitable only for small boats. Public toilets, picnic areas,
childrens playground.
Parking: Ample, though the park can be busy on weekends
and Public Holidays, especially around Christmas.
Fees: None.

Access: 24hr access available. Ramp located on Menindee
Dr, off Morsehead Dr.
Facilities: Concrete ramp, no other facilities nearby. Good
for accessing East and Central Basins of lake and Molonglo River.
Parking: Shaded parking available.
Fees: None.

Cl, off Ginninderra Dr.
Facilities: Concrete/earth ramp, not suitable for larger

Parking: Ample parking available.
